Phineas and the harpies

Phineas and the harpies comes from the story of Jason and the golden fleece. This old man, who abused his use of prophecy was cursed by Zeus and was non longer able to eat. When he would try to eat the harpies would come and eat his food, what was left was to rotten to eat.

I completed this in 2010 and it is oil on canvas. For the reference i used my grandpa and my sister.
